Jordan Maron is an American YouTube personality, also known by his YouTube channel username of CaptainSparklez. The channel was the fifth solo-gaming channel to reach 1 billion views.

As of May 2015, his YouTube Channel ""CaptainSparklez"" has over 8.5 million Subscribers and 1.7 billion views on all his videos combined. The videos on his currently active YouTube channel mostly consist of him playing ""Minecraft"" (or doing things associated with ""Minecraft""; for example, he showcases ""Minecraft Mods""). Maron is signed under Maker Studios' sub-network, Polaris.

Maron created a parody video called ""Minecraft Style"", based on ""Gangnam Style"" by South Korean entertainer PSY that used animated Minecraft models. He published it on YouTube under the Internet nickname of CaptainSparklez. According to MSN, within a few days, it had been viewed more than a million times. The video was referenced in technology and gaming articles published by NBC, The Daily Telegraph, Mashable and the Huffington Post. By December 2012, his video, Minecraft Style, had amassed more than 37 million views.

In December 2012, Maron appeared with other YouTube personalities in a video on the Tubefilter web site. Maron's YouTube videos include: ""Ghosts n' Stuff (Noteblock Remix)"", ""TNT"", ""Revenge"", ""Fallen Kingdom"", ""Minecraft Style"", ""Minecraft Style"" (Revised), ""Take Back the Night"" and most recently, ""Find The Pieces"".

He also streams ""Mianite"" on Twitch, where, as of March 5, 2015, he has over 1 million followers. ""CaptainSparklez"" streams ""Mianite"" with three other mainstream YouTubers: ""OMGitsfirefoxx"", ""JerichoAFK"", and ""TheSyndicateProject"". He also has his own brand of merchandise, selling it through the website ""spreadshirt.com"". He joined the Mineplex server team in 2014 but left in 2015.
