Biography[ | ]

Octavian "Kripparrian" Moroșan, also known as Kripp or nl_Kripp, is a well known twitch.tv streamer and youtuber. His popularity has grown greatly since he started streaming Hearthstone, and he has become one of the most well known players. He currently plays for Team SoloMid.

Kripparrian is widely regarded as one of the best Arena players in Hearthstone. While he isn't particularly know for his constructed play, he has proven that he is good at it during the 2013 BlizzCon Innkeeper's Invitational (in which he came second) and the ESGN Fight Night series. He did actually reach Legend rank in Hearthstone constructed mode in August 2015.[1] His Twitch channel is one of the most viewed on the site. In addition, he posts daily update videos to his YouTube channel.

Kripparrian was a known World of Warcraft player before beginning his streaming career,[2] recognized for being the first person to complete the Ironman Challenge,[3] being in a leading US raiding guild, Exodus, as well as being a competitor of top Hunter DPS parses during that time.[2][4] Kripparian began his Youtube career with World of Warcraft tutorials on his Youtube channel. At the launch of the highly anticipated game Diablo III, Kripparrian became famous for his in-depth explanatory videos on D3 mechanics on his YouTube channel. Together with his Team NoLife teammate Krippi, he gained fame for getting the world first Hardcore Diablo kill on Inferno difficulty live on twitch before Inferno difficulty was made easier.[5][6]

After Diablo III, Kripparrian started playing the Action RPG Path of Exile. In Path of Exile, Kripparrian evolved from a "world-first" chaser to a competitive racer, becoming the season 1 champion after winning the most race points in Path of Exile's hardcore race series.[2][7] His presence in the Path of Exile community was so beneficial to the game's growth, that PoE's developers Grinding Gear Games gave Kripp special thanks in the game's end credits.[8]

After obtaining a Hearthstone beta key, Kripparrian has had a huge spike in popularity and competitive growth, coming close to winning his first ever live tournament in the 2013 BlizzCon Innkeeper's Invitational and participating in the prestigious tournament ESGN Fight Night both as a player and a caster.[2]

Achievements[ | ]

Diablo III[ | ]

Kripparrian is notable for completing the Diablo III video game at "Inferno" difficulty (the highest in the game) with his friend Krippi, just over a month after it was launched. The achievement was done before patch 1.0.3, which made the game easier, and both players used "Hardcore" characters in the feat, which are lost forever when the characters are killed in the game.[9]

World of Warcraft[ | ]

In mid-2010, Kripparrian had the highest damage per second benchmarks for the Hunter class in the game.[10]

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft[ | ]

Kripparrian is also a Hearthstone streamer, and competed in the Innkeeper's Invitational Hearthstone tournament at BlizzCon 2013.[11] He has also achieved "Legend rank", the highest ranking in the game's ladder system.[12] However, Kripparrian is more known as an experienced Arena player, as he is able to achieve high victory streaks despite having drafted poor cards. He is noted for his fun and innovative Hearthstone decks and spearheaded efforts towards making Challengestone, a Hearthstone deckbuilding competition.[13] GamesRadar listed Kripparrian's Twitch channel as one players should watch.[14]

AmazHS, Kripparrian, and Frodan commentated the Hearthstone World Championship at Blizzcon 2015.[15]
