The first game in the Red Dead Redemption series to be featured on the PC platform, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC features a range of graphical and technical enhancements for increased immersion along with new Bounty Hunting Missions, Gang Hideouts, Weapons and more. Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC , brings with it a range of graphical and technical enhancements to bring new life and detail to the story of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang, on the run from the law across America in the final days of the 19th Century.
Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC takes full advantage of the power of the PC to bring every corner of this massive, rich and detailed world to life from the windswept snowy peaks of the Grizzly Mountains to the dusty roads of Lemoyne; from the mud-spattered storefronts of Valentine to the cobbled streets of St Denis. New graphical and technical enhancements for deeper immersion include increased draw distances for better navigation; higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting; higher quality snow trails, improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances; tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has an online game mode that is separate from the story counterpart. You level up a separate character that you customize and create then explore the vast open world along with friends and enemies. Online was released in Beta but still contains numerous game modes, over 500 badge or gold buckle awards, hunting, fishing, and over 100 ranks.
Online Beta will be expanding their frontier on Tuesday, February the 26th 2019. This major content patch brings new weapons, clothing, and emotes for your character. More improvements to balance with griefers, a bounty system, free roam events, and a host of new showdown pvp modes.
New Gameplay additions will include the Fool’s Gold Free Roam Event, where players will compete to control an equal parts gaudy and protective suit of Golden Armor. Fight to take down the armor wearer to earn points and claim it as your own, then turn the tables and earn points for kills while wearing the armor.
Competitive Challenges gets a fresh catch with Fishing Challenges. Fishing Challenges are broken out by type, opt in to the challenge and you’ll receive all the equipment necessary to compete including the rod as well lures and bait specific to the challenge type, whether it’s crickets for a river challenge, crayfish for the swamp or worms for lakes. Catch the highest weight total of fish to win.
New Weapons high capacity Evans Repeater rifle. The Rare Shotgun is D.D. Packenbush’s latest variation of the powerful double-barreled longarm. Sporting an antique style faded brass finish and an artfully adorned stock. Both weapons will be available via the Wheeler & Rawson Catalogue and local Gunsmiths.

The game was released on the 137th anniversary of the O.K Corral gunfight. Rockstar rewrote parts of their engine just to support the additions to the game, and want to push the open-world genre into its next step by focusing on the A.I of the various NPC characters.
As of February 2019, the game has shipped over 23 million copies.
